Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Balcony

This was the worst cruise we have ever taken and we have cruised all over the world.

We were looking forward to our NCL cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. This appears to be the only cruise line that does not start and end on mainland, requiring 8-10 days at sea and we would visit the island of Kauai which most other lines do not. The ship was advertised as being ‘refurbished’ this year but that ended with new carpet and furnishings.

From the moment we stepped onboard the ship felt as if it was built in the 1970s and not well maintained. Ceilings were low and there was no style to the interiors. We found rust around windows in public areas. The only painting was spot painting done to cover patches in the infrastructure of the ship.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BX

This cabin was very small, the last balcony room on the rear port side. The balcony was narrow and bounded by a solid wall that obstructed the view to the rear. There was an obvious patch on that wall that was painted over but not the whole wall.

The TV program selections were very limited without CNN or any news programming.

Our room was never made up unless we asked and then not every time.
