Just a little background, I am in my mid 40s and hubby in his mid 50s, we have cruised 11 times previously on 5 different lines, predominantly Princess.  This was our first HAL cruise.

We hadn't planned on cruising to Alaska this year, but with some of the last minute deals, it was hard to pass up cruising out of your home port.  We originally booked an inside guarantee and then about a month before sailing we were offered a paid upgrade to a balcony which we jumped at.  We haven't sailed in an inside since our first cruise 10 years ago.
