We traveled Oct 13-22,2016. We picked the cruise because of the ports. The ports were good to excellent.
It was easy for us to get on the ship. We arrived at 1:30 and walked on the ship by 1:50. We were able to carry on our bags right to our room. We had an interior and it was clean. We had great service with the room.
The cruise was very good with excellent service in MDR. We had ATD. We went mostly at 5:00. It was busy, but service was very good to excellent. We never waited and sat at the same table every night. We had a table for 2.
The entertainment was hit and miss. We were on the Grandeur last year, so some was a repeat for us.
We could not complain about the weather it was great to be in the north, it was 60's and 70's.
We booked three excursions through RCCL and two private excursions. The only issue I had was the way RCCL disembarked the excursions booked through RCCL. So excursions met on the ship and were escorted off. Some booked through RCCL met on the pier and had to get off the best way possible without missing the excursion. RCCL needs to review this process to help all paying for an excursion to get off the ship. All of the excursions were very good. Boston we toured Boston, Lexington and Concord through RCCL. It was mostly history. Portland was a private tour and we toured the city and lighthouse. This was an o.k. tour. Bar Harbor was a private tour{Olis Trolley) and was excellent. St. John we used RCCL excursion. We rode a train to see the reversing river and then hop on hop off of city. It was an o.k. tour. Halifax was also through RCCL and was excellent. We visited Peggy's cove and titanic graves.
We used self-assist to leave and were the first to leave. We were off the ship and in the car in 10 minutes.
This was our second time on Grandeur. We would cruise on the Grandeur again.
The cabin is small, but fine for 2 of us. We do not spend much time in the room.
Zach was very knowledgable. Excellent tour.
