We chose this cruise as part of a package going to Hong Kong, cruising China and Vietnam, then a visit to Singapore and then Dubai. THe cruise was the worst part and very disappointing. From embarkation where we were not informed that we needed a passport copy, resulting in a massive queue, to waiting an hour and half for dinner, after having a booking, then getting cold food - first impressions not good. And it did not improve - we were going on an excursion the next day - took 2 hours to disembark - when we got to where we were going - it was almost closed!!! Then when we got back to the ship there were no restaurants open - had to go either for a sandwich or pay to go for a burger!!!

This was the story of the whole trip - I think in large due to insufficient staff numbers. After our first and second dinner disappointment we decided we would pay for the remaining 5 nights a fine dining package - a big mistake!!! Unfriendly service and the food at the very best was average! Frozen chips in a fine dining restaurant - I'm afraid so!!!! Not a smile to be had. There were a few staff who went above and beyond but on the whole very disappointing. there was no point complaining - the queues at guest relations horrendous and the staff held no accountability for anything. The buffet restaurant held nothing very appetising at all.

A big part of a cruise for us is good food and fine wine - and we found neither on this cruise. When we got a glass of wine we never once got it served from the bottle - so most times felt what we ordered was not what we were getting. The excursions were another story!!! Trying to get the bus number and off the ship was a trial. The descriptions of timings - we were 7.5 hours for a return trip the Royal Caribbean description was 4 hours - and they blamed the Tour Company!!! A trip described as a 5 hour River Cruise - we were 20 minutes on a small craft!!! Would NEVER recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone!!!

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Cabin was lovely - however the glass/mirrors in the room needed a polish - I didn't ask the stateroom attendant to do it as I felt that should have been done as a matter of course!!!
