We have cruised on Equinox twice before and have done this cruise once before. For us Celebrity was always top for us before NCL, RCI MSC and others. Unfortunately they appear to have taken a commercial decision to plunge down market. Their decision to actively discourage formal attire (and I use those words advisedly) and stop formal nights whilst they pander to the ripped jeans and T shirt brigade is disappointing to say the least. The shows in comparison to their rivals (and as they were before) were pathetic and the choice of food has diminished substantially. Again in comparison to NL the stuff during the day was woefully lacking, amounting to the odd trivia quiz. The crew are mostly trying hard but some appear to have almost given up. As it was raining heavily one day we thought we would have a drink at one of the bars before lunch. Every indoor bar was closed!!! The outdoor bars were all open if you wanted to brave the pouring rain! When we pointed this out to guest relations there was a shrug of the shoulders and a statement saying some would be open at 2 or we could go and have a drink in the cafe.Brilliant!!! The Blu restaurant was good for breakfast if you could get up in time! The speciality restaurants were all good particularly Muranos which is superb
