We chose this cruise to celebrate my husbands retirement having previously holidayed on the Brilliance of the Seas. ..Oh dear!...this was definitely the most disappointing adventure so far! The ship was sooo overcrowded and we had to queue for absolutely anything and everything. Guest relations was understaffed and the queues lasted hours, then to deal with poor untrained staff..a complete nightmare. The Windjammer cafe was akin to a busy canteen with people struggling to find a place to sit and eat the low quality food in cramped conditions. Really bad was having to queue to get a mug of hot water from a staff member then to make your own tea with a tea bag.....and don't get me started about the untrained bar staff serving cocktails in pint glasses!!...The entertainment was dire (except for the excellent ice show).. All in all Butlin's on a boat and not for the discerning cruiser!
For a stateroom it was ok.. but the mini-fridge was not working ,when i brought it to the attention of the cabin steward he said "it's not a mini-bar it's a cooler " ( i know an un-plugged fridge when i see one ).... also there was never any milk or creamer to make a drink,so we had to get them ourselves.
