This cruise was made brilliant by the ship staff and the entertainment. The Moroccan stop was disappointing as its definitely not as good as Tangier where we have been before. The canaries stops are what you would expect and great for the winter sun. LaHavre is way too far from paris so we went to a quaint little fishing villiage instead. I have to say I really enjoyed the stops and some were great for relaxing and others great for exploring. The food was good as always although as always the windjammer was very hectic with food you would expect from a cafe rather than somewhere with fine dining. I think they have cut out too much of the windjammer for the 2 speciality restaurants they inserted as this has undoubtedly stolen space from the free dining of the windjammer. I would also say that the dining room was also better than the speciality restaurants and so I wouldn't bother paying for those again.

We enjoyed this cruise so much though that we did book our next one while on board!!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

The cabin was really nice and we really got to enjoy the balcony this time. It was nice to just sit on the balcony and enjoy a cup of tea since those facilities are in the room with Southampton cruises.

Port Reviews

Lisbon

Lovely city, took the red bus tour (city sightseeing) but should have opted for the yellow bus tour. The red bus tricks you into thinking it has more stops to its better but in reality some of the stops are just added to make it have more stops. The red bus also had so many people on it that on the journey back towards the boat we ended up standing. No one really goes on the yellow bus, they either go on this bus and the other red bus but the yellow bus is supported by portugals tourism office and information is also very good on it. We took the yellow bus on another stop so that's how we know.

Vigo

vigo isn't a particularly pretty city and so I wish really had organised something.

Southampton

we really only got on and got off here.

Lanzarote

We caught the local bus service (which is very cheap) to peurto del Carmen and back and it was lovely

Tenerife

Having never been in santa cruz we just caught the open topped bus and this meant that we got to see some of the hightlights of the city.

Madeira (Funchal)

This is a lovely city, we got on an open topped bus but in honesty we could just have enjoyed the city by getting the shuttle from the ship and exploring. next time we will also do the cable cars but because the open top bus takes you up high anyway we felt it would have meant us replicating things. Wish there had been longer in this port. Cut out Agadir and go here twice would be better

La Coruna

Didn't expect this to be quite so lovely. We took a little tour and the glass front buildings are gorgeous and we saw some lovely churches too.
