Cabin: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
We chose this cruise because we had not been to either New York or the Maritimes before.
We had cruised Holland America many years ago and enjoyed their ship and service.
Zuiderdam is very spacious, well laid out, and by the 10th day we found it easy to navigate.

Cabin was very clean - convenient to activity decks - room steward was outstanding - very helpful, responsive to any request and like most of the crew always smiling and sincerely trying to be helpful in any way.
Bathroom was more spacious than last two cruises on celebrity and princess and although we didn't need it a bathtub was standard.
We discovered many secret drawers and hideaway storage areas that weren't obvious at first. balcony for our cabin was larger (deeper) than those on decks above and although we didn't use it because of cool weather, I would request this cabin or category again.
