Vision of the Seas Cruise Review by Ine
- Sail Date: October 2016
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
We were a bit disappointed about the size of our oceanview cabin, smaller then on any other lines we sailed. My rating should be between poor and average for this. Beds were very good however. Bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen, with very little room in the shower. We hated that curtain in that tiny shower.
We brought our own shampoo, showergel, body lotion because we were warned this wouldnot be in the bathroom. We were supplied with just 2 small pieces of soap. Amazing as on every other line we always had that. Maybe RCCL should consider offering this in all category cabins. There was a sign re ice in the cabin, another sign about possible supplying that would be a nice detail.
Plenty of chairs around and above the pool. We loved the atrium, nice place to sit and watch the ocean. Also often entertainment in there. Surprised by the singing captain Marek, he could be a rockstar. He is a nice captain who loves his job and his passengers.
But apart fromthe cabin details we had a great cruise in every aspect.
Food in the buffet and also in the diningroom was very good with a good changing selection. Our servers Diana from Russia and Ana from Rumania did an excellent job, nice friendly ladies. We loved the way they treated our grandsons.

DubrovnikAt the port we found a nice man with a van offering to show ur the highlights for abour 2 hours. After that he gave us 2 hours to visit oldtown . After that he picked us up and returned us to the ship. For a group of 7 we paid E. 120,-View All 1,178 Dubrovnik Cruise Port Reviews

Katakolon (Olympia)Part of our group went to Olympia. At the end of the pier transportation to and from Katakolon to Olympia is offered by bus for E. 15.- p.p. The drive was nice, but if you ever visited Efese before we think Olympia is rather disappointing. By far not as interesting as Efese. The village itself is nice, we had a nice local lunch again.View All 12,811 Katakolon (Olympia) Cruise Port Reviews
Others of our group took that small tourist train that goes around and outside Katakolon for just E. 6.- p.p. You can get out at e.g. the winery or the beach and after 30 minutes you can take the next one. Unfortunately this small train doesnot stop real close to the cruiseterminal but at the end of the street filled with shops.

KusadasiAs we had visited Efese before (loved it, go there when this is your 1st time!), we simply took another cab that drove us around for abour 1 hour for only E. 20,-, the driver showed us some nice viewpoints in and around town. After that we stopped at the bazaar for some shopping and returned to the ship.View All 623 Kusadasi Cruise Port Reviews

SantoriniWe took the cablecar up (E. 5,- p.p.), walked a, little around and found another driver with van. He drove our group of 7 to Ioa, we got about 1 1/2 hour free time there. Interesting nice little place, we were rather early as after a while it got very busy. He came back to pick us up, we then walked Fira for a while. Had a nice local lunch and returned to the ship.Waiting time for the cablecar going up was about 15/20 minutes on the return in the early afternoon about the same. We heard waitinglines of 1 hour or moreoften happen during highseason, so be there in time.View All 988 Santorini Cruise Port Reviews
