We have taken quite a few cruises in the past and Carnival is still our favorite cruise line even though we are sailing with Norwegian in February. Carnival felt bad about our cruise being shortened by hurricane Matthew and really went above and beyond trying to make up for something they had NO control over. Yes the ship is older and yes the ship is smaller but it still makes for a great vacation. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly. Some of my smoker friends complained about ash trays not being dumped regularly but they stated that it was just an inconvenience. Overall, I think for a vacation, this is the way to go.
The staff was extremely friendly and learned our names early on and called us by our names for the duration. The DJ's, Nifty and Max remembered my line dance songs and would play them for me a quickly as they could. Our Wind Song staff was terrific, especially Madi and Everton. We never had to ask for anything. Carlos, also one of the wait staff was a nice young man that was also right there checking to see if we needed anything. Felipe our cabin steward attended to our every need as well.
We had purchased faster to the fun for the first time this cruise and although it was a shortened cruise and weren't able to take advantage of all of it's perks, we decided we will always try to get it on all future cruises.
small but plenty of room for the two of us and all our luggage. I always over pack....
Always like leaving from Charleston, a little confusing but they keep you moving, doesn't take long to board.
