Chose this cruise due to family involvement, some of whom live in Texas. We're from PA, We have sailed on 8 different Carnival ships and in every class except Splendor, Sunshine and Vista.

The ship is average and the cruise OK but really not as enjoyable as some other we have been on. We had an Ocean Suite on Deck 7. Our cabin attendant was super excellent. I found the dining experience in the Posh Aft dining room and service lacking in quality and service. But during breakfast/brunch the service, variety and food were very good. The Sky King restaurant was excellent in both food and service. The ship also had other places like Guy's Burger Joint and a sandwich place where they served very good variety of both hot and cold sandwiches. We utilized all of these and skipped the Posh restaurant four of the days.

The ship staff were polite and provided good service except for the main dining room during diner. Embarkation was somewhat annoying even though we had priority embarkation and a suite. The ports visited were nice except Jamaica which should be off limits. It is unsafe, unpleasant to visit and provides no customer service, nor does Carnival except for paid tours. You will not want to travel around on your own. The Cayman's and Cozumel were safe and enjoyable to visit.
