Went on a 8D7N fly cruise from Hong Kong and back to Singapore. Flight from Sin to HK, included in the package, was on Cathay Pacific which provided an average service. Check in luggage was fast, no queue (probably because we reached the terminal around 3pm where many passengers already check in). There was not much queue at the check in counters. The whole process was fast. We stayed in junior suite, 6394, hence no priority in check in. The terminal was large, so except a fair bit of walking before reaching the cruise ship.
Got sea sick the first night (there are medicine available at medical centre free of charge). Pre-booked the internet via my cruise planner, which was cheaper than onboard. Access code was found in the room, together with our pre booked shore excursion tickets when we arrived. There are light snack available at Cafe Promenade prior to ship sail. Ship sailed off at 5pm with some dance at the poolside. Went for dinner at deck 5 (pre-booked My Time Dining). Strongly encourage to pre-book (at least 3 days before sailing) to avoid the Long queue at guest services and reservation counters. Servers Joseph and Ketut served us for almost the entire trip. Great service, and was able to remember our preferences after 2 nights. Luggage was delivered by time we finished dinner at 7+pm.
Shore excursion at Sanya:
Located at the end of the ship. Room size was good, with bathtub and bath/shampoo amenities. We had 3 adults, so the sofa bed was converted into a queen bed. Balcony was big, with 2 deck chairs and 2 chairs. Plenty of storage space and hangers in the room. Not much view as it was obstructed. The worst of the room is the engine noise and the slight "swaying". Room was also a distance from the lift. Would not recommend this room.
Room attendant was very attentive and will make up the room twice a day. Room was very clean and we had several animal towels at the end of the days.
Embarking was fast.
