A unique cruise, coming from Florida. So when we booked our cruise, we didn't know much about it, other than we would be experiencing a different scene that the typical Caribbean beaches. We wanted that! Booking was easy via the NCL website, and the deal was fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend the All Inclusive Beverage deal. The process of boarding was easy, and the port entrance in NYC was not bad. I did start to notice that many of the passengers were 65+. This was something I didn't really know. We were about 5 couples younger than 35 on a cruise of several thousand. If this is something that would bother you, I'd suggest another destination, as I've heard its common. That being said, we didn't care. We LOVED the ports of call. Canada was super clean and friendly, and New England was full of culture. The GEM itself was very impressive, the staff was friendly. The cleanliness of our cabin was consistent throughout and we had no issues whatsoever, even though it was a tad small. I will say it would've been nice to see several more younger people like us onboard, because the ports are actually very intriguing for our younger generations, but they seem to want beaches. Food was pretty good, not superb, but very good throughout the ship. All in all, very satisfied with this cruise, and would love to cruise it again.
