Chose this based on recommendations of two different people who had been on this ship. This was our first cruise ever, and we were very pleased with our experience. First of all, 100% of the staff were friendly, helpful, upbeat- even the ladies who clean the bathrooms were cheerful and helpful. All of the food was excellent- we loved the main dining room- I was very impressed with the menu choices, the service, the quality of the food- they run a very efficient operation, consistently quick service, great food - I was amazed they could do this with so many people to serve. We ate in 4 specialty restaurants - again great, especially Murano. The few shows we saw were excellent. Loved the Corning glass show. Enjoyed our evening drinks in the Sunset Bar. Lovely veranda cabin- plenty of room, good sized bathroom. Very rough weather the last day (40 knot winds) but this ship handled it very well.

We sailed from Barcelona through the Mediterranean, back to Barcelona. We have already booked cruise #2 on Celebrity Silhouette- Baltic cruise ( the Equinox is moving permanently to the Caribbean)

Cabin 1A

Roomy, comfortable, very quiet

Port Reviews

Positano (Amalfi)

Took ferry to Amalfi - had lunch, walked around. Beautiful views of the coast from the boat

Kusadasi

Did a small group tour with Kusadasi Private Excursions to Ephesus- highly recommend it

Santorini

Had visited here 30 years ago, and while it is still breathtaking beautiful, felt overrun with cruisers

Mykonos

Too crowded, too many cheap souvenir shops

Barcelona

Spent two nights here before boarding the ship- loved this city!

Athens (Piraeus)

Took a taxi to new Acropolis Museum- it is very well done. Then walked up to the Acropolis in the rain (Athens was our only rainy day). Wanted to do National Archaeology Museum, but our taxi driver discouraged us - he said the area around it wasn't very safe.

Malta (Valletta)

Took a taxi to Mdina - so beautiful and special. Then back to Valletta, the cathedral is a must. Would love to spend more time in Malta
