NCL decided that our cruise would be a "maintenance" cruise. Which meant we missed 2/3 ports (Cabo and Mazatlan) because they wanted to work on the ship in Puerto Vallerta. That's not what we paid for at all. The captain tried to explain that this will help future cruises...but why would we care about future cruises? By day 6 we all just wanted to get off the boat, things became so boring. Thank goodness for their Splash Academy...because our kid did have fun there. So, when they canceled Cabo the initial response was a $50/cabin credit...which was rather insulting. After complaining to the front desk, they took off our daily gratuities ($13.95/person/day). So basically they stiffed their own employees, which rubbed us the wrong way. The next day we got a letter that we'd get 25% back on this cruise and 25% towards a future cruise. Which doesn't account for all the $ we spend on airfare/hotels, and all the wasted vacation time.
Add in that our AC wasn't working and the room was so humid that everything was constantly wet.
I'd think twice before sailing with NCL again.
