This is our annual easy cruise - no air required. 10 day California coastal - easy Peazy . We did the same cruise 12 months ago and there were differences - in dining - butter is passed out by the pat which is fine less waste, no more steak option every night now a hamburger, and no spa products for elite - well there you go everyone needs to make money. The best - best captain we have ever had super personality, approachable and professional; sabbatinis, haven't been for a long time , it was fantastic both service and food; overall the food was very good, each night our server levante made suggestions, only missteps were when we didn't go with his suggestions; the wine tastings in vines were awesome. We have "wine tasted" on many cruise lines and we really enjoyed the pairings approach with the small group. Met nice people and enjoyed lovely wines. $15 per person was good value. We managed ourselves around the ports including metro to universal studios for $1 each way, car rental in Santa Barbara $40 to drive to solving for day trip. I did not rate a 5 because I feel that elite is being a little eroded all over the spa toiletries and when I enquires at customer relations the person basically advised me that" it's what we use what's your problem?" Well yikes. Over likely $1 worth of product I'm not happy. That being said, it was a good cruise, met our "princess expectations" and will do again. With Elite you do have a lot of very special benefits but sometimes you feel you're just not that special. We have done 27 cruises with princess but lots of others as well
No excursion but great little port fir a browse and lunch
Miserable weather but San Fran is always a great port , plenty to do
