We chose this cruise because of prior great experiences on NCL cruises and we wanted to experience the "fall colors cruise" of New England. The ship has been recently refurbished and is great (except the Venetian dining room portraits are hideous now)! The ship is very clean everywhere. We were very pleased with the entertainment throughout the cruise. We were disappointed with the new menus (lack variety and "nickle and dime" customers for decent selections). The food and service at breakfast in the Venetian is not good (wrong order, poor service and the food was not good once we got it)! The buffet has 2 sides (one side is mostly Indian food which seemed to be a poor choice since not many people were taking it and the other side had some odd choices also. The food in the buffet seemed to be about average quality). O'Sheehans had good food as did the specialty restaurants we dined in.

The service: Cabin service was mediocre, room service was poor (wrong order consistently). O'Sheehans had poor, poor service (slow even when not busy and incorrect orders). The bus service in the buffet was EXCELLENT-those individuals work hard and are very efficient and willing to please the customers! It took us 3 days and several discussions with various people of different levels to get a phone that worked in our cabin (the last discussion was a mild "threat" but at least it worked. The itinerary on this cruise was nice and all in all we did enjoy the cruise but compared to previous NCL cruises it was definitely lacking!

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IF

It was a typical inside cabin. Clean with enough room for us. We just have coffee in the morning and then we shower and are usually gone until we get ready for dinner and then we are gone until we fall into bed until room service brings coffee in the morning.
