We picked Royal Caribbean since we have traveled on Celebrity and Carnival before and wanted to experience another brand. This ship was going into dry dock after this cruise for a facelift so it will be nice to see it when it reappears. Normally we would travel down the day before to catch a boat out of Puerto Rico but since the ship didn't leave until 8PM we figured why waste the hotel money. We took JetBlue from JFK non stop to SJU and got a taxi right at the baggage pickup. A quick 20 minute drive and we were dock side waiting to get on. Embarkation was fast and we were on the ship in no time. This ship had 5 stops Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Antigua, and St. Maarten. Getting on and off the boat in port was a breeze. No big lines if you gave the first off people about 15 minutes. We booked our own excursions since w elike smaller groups and doing different things. Ports of call (excursions) In Aruba we took a trike tour. www.trikes-aruba.com I would recommend those that are adventurous to take this. It's quite the experience. You drive the trike with a passenger or 2 and you make 5 different stops along the 3 hour journey. Bring your GoPro, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen and feel the wind in your face. Very cool excursion. After the trike tour we got a taxi to Eagle beach were we hung out for a couple of hours for some sun, sand and water. Curacao we didn't have an excursion so we got off the boat after all the other shore excursion people left and got an island tour. For $20 a person we went around the island stopping at a bunch of places including the Curacao liquor plant. We got dropped off on the other side of the floating bridge. We did a lot of walking here since there was some great shots and we could watch the boat move past in the channel. Free WiFi in the Starbucks by the port if you are interested. Bonaire we did some snorkeling since everybody raves about the coral life and the clarity of the water. We booked an excursion thru Renee's Snorkel Trips www.reneesnorkeltrips.com/ Renee herself took my wife and I on a solo tour since the couple that was to go with us decided to change their time. So we got some one on one time to see the reef, fish, and coral. We made 2 stops spending about 30 minutes in the water each stop. Never leaving sight of the ship at all. If you have never snorkeled before this is the place to do it. Once we had finished out snorkel adventure we hit the open air market for some souvenirs, then on to the Bonaire Brew Pub for some free WiFi and some food and drinks. Great time in Bonaire. Very small island with a very small population. Next stop was Antigua. We again booked outside of the ship and it was a very long and interesting excursion. This one was 6 hours and hit a bunch of stops. Scenic Tours Antigua scenictoursantigua.com/v2/ There was only 4 of us on the excursion and we went from stop to stop learning about the history of the island, taking in the sites, and meeting some of the locals. The views from some of the old forts is amazing. Last stop was St. Maarten. I red some reviews on Reddit about Bernards Tours so we booked yet again off the ship and made plans for a 5 hour tour, with a beach stop. www.bernardstours.com/ we highly recommend this tour. You see both sides to the island (French, Dutch) with lots of stops in each. Sarafina's on the French side is to die for. Sunset Beach/Maho Beach on the Dutch side is a must also. DJ our drive was very knowledgeable and made all 12 of us feel at home. The stops in Orient Beach and Maho Beach give you some time to get in the water if you like. We only saw 1 cruise ship in 8 days and it was on our last stop. With 2 at sea days you still had some time to check out the boat and the entertainment on it. The Champagne Bar is the place to be on this ship if you like mixed cocktails. Our mixologists were top notch and made some extremely good drinks. We also did a pop up whiskey class in that bar which was totally by surprise. We never had a bad meal in the main dining rooms and only ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch unless we where off the boat. During the sea days the cruise director and his staff kept us very busy with daily activities. If I had to pick one negative it would be the lack of quality nightly entertainment. Celebrity did a very good job of that and Carnival had the comedy lounge. We stayed in Puerto Rico for a couple of days to unwind from vacation. We usually book thru AirBnB or VRBO and find places in Old San Juan or Condado. This time we had a place in Condado which was perfect for us. Very close to all sorts of good food, shopping, and of course the beach. Counting the days until the next one.

First time on RCCL.. We will definitely be back.

Cabin Review

Cabin 7682
Very spacious for 2. Only complaint I would have is there is quite a walk to catch the elevator since there are no stair or elevators at the rear of the ship. Other than that the cabin was great. John our room steward was very attentive whenever we needed him and was always there to offer a good morning or good night.
