Majesty of the Seas is like getting in a 20 year old high end Mercedes Benz. It's still nice but the best years are in the rear view mirror (ship was launched in 1992) and no matter what, it feels old. The in-water re-furb in Spring 2016 was only the pool deck; everything else still looks just like Monarch which was retired a few years ago.

Can you have a great time on this cruise - yes! It is very affordable for a quick 3/4 night get-away. Great crew, food. Tipped our cabin steward extra was a super guy. Bad pool deck set up - no tables (crowded) and way to much smoking. Easy to get a drink, plenty of bars and bartenders. Bahamas is what it is. Cool cruise director; entertainment was cheesy buy fun. Easy embarkation - horrible debarkation as everyone walks-off and the line was up 4 floors (either go really early or really late). Rooms are smallest anywhere on any ship (same as Monarch) I have ever seen; have been on the two class ships bigger than this and rooms, even on the Vision Class, are much bigger (even the basic window only rooms). Parked at cruise terminal very convenient.

RCCL if you are reading this it is time to retire Majesty! No reason to have anything less than a Vision class on this route. You could pack an even larger ship than a Vision class year round on these 3/4 cruises. It is 2016 and the old girl needs to go!
