This was a 15 day cruise on the Crown Princess round trip from Los Angeles to Hawaii, leaving Oct 5th, 2016 and returning on the 20th. This is our 22nd cruise, and our 9th with Princess. The Crown Princess was built in 2006 and is scheduled for a major re-fit in the spring of 2017, however, cosmetically it still appears to be well maintained. It is a large ship with a well thought out deck plan. Overall cleanliness is excellent.

The ports on this cruise are Nawiliwili, Honolulu, Lahaina, Hilo & Ensenada. It is a nice mix, however we would prefer Kona rather than Hilo. I will not review the individual ports, as everyone likes to do different things and our experiences may be different from yours.

We had a standard cabin with a balcony (B751). The layout is OK, and there is sufficient room to store personal items. The bathroom is very small, so be prepared. Our room steward, Noppawong, did an excellent job of maintaining the room. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was somewhat large. The balcony does have an obstruction, however it was not a problem for us.
