First time on the Westerdam, but have sailed on her sister, the Oosterdam 3 times. Loved the ship, but it is just slightly tired and would love to see it AFTER the refurb in April. Public spaces were great, and enjoyable. After rehab, casino will be non-smoking, which will be fantastic! Current casino smoke gets into stairways/elevators for 1-2 floors above & below, which is disgusting! Most food was good, however, I found it was slightly bland, which surprised me for Holland America. The famous bread pudding was behind the server at the ice cream bar & not all the time, so it was not as available as I have seen in the past. We had many, many sea days due to itinerary and entertainment staff worked hard to have lots of choices for us to do. It made it a very nice trip. I absolutely LOVED Stryker in the piano bar and found myself there most nights. BB King Blues club was good, but not quite as good as others I have heard. I preferred the prior entertainment company for the big shows.
