This was our first time sailing on MSC (we have sailed in NCL Breakaway and NCL Dawn). We were a family of four: ages 55, 47, 10, 8

The Miami cruise port was very easy to navigate. We checked in around 11:30 am and were boarding the ship around noon. Once on board, we signed the girls up for the kids program, registered our credit card at the kiosk for online charges, and went to find the buffet for lunch (as it is the only place open on the ship for lunch).

We found the service on the trip very good and the staff very friendly and courteous. (this was something I was concerned about as reading reviews prior the trip as I had read several complaints about this---we found all of the complaints we had read unfounded). We booked through an online travel agency and received onboard credit for doing so – this worked well as our daily service charges went against this.
