After the mixed reviews of this ship so far, it was with some trepidation that we made our way to Civitavecchia. We had a good start arriving early and being in our cabin within an hour - although I understand there were problems for people who arrived later.

We were very impressed with our cabin - 1175 - outside on deck one at the rear of the ship. Lots of electric sockets - only used the USB ones really! Bed comfortable and big, Lots of storage space and looking brand new. Shower was excellent. Cabin stewards always made sure our room was clean by the time we returned from breakfast. We thought we might hear some noise or feel some movement being at the bottom near the stern of the ship but there was none - mind you we were lucky that the sea was calm throughout our voyage.

We eat in the main dining room. Food was excellent, as was the service. We chose the early sitting and were usually out in time for the first show of the night. Read more
