Where to start... This was our first time on Oasis and on a ship of this size. We never once felt like we were crowded on the ship! The muster stations were indoors (at least all of the ones that we could see) which was nice since you didn't stand around in the Florida heat waiting on everyone to arrive. Our cabin, 9254 was wonderful and our steward took care of all of our needs. My husband told him I loved the animals that were left at night so he made sure I received extras and I had quite the collection by the end of the cruise. We dined in the Coastal Kitchen for most of our meals. It was a great option and I would recommend it if you are a suite guest. We did go to four specialty restaurants. We felt like they ranked in this order from best to worst: Izumi, Chops,150 Central Park, and Giovanni's. The entertainment onboard the ship was amazing! We truly enjoyed every show (except for Cats as we didn't find the nearly 3 hours needed to enjoy the Broadway show). There is live music everywhere you turn. Visit Central Park to escape the cruise ship and feel like you are truly in a park! Our service was great throughout the cruise. We did make our first ever complaint about something that we observed happen on the ship and we were amazed at the response we received from the crew regarding our concern. Our first stop was Labadee. It was a beautiful stretch of beach and we LOVED the zipline! We went to Jamaica next and booked our own excursion to the Blue Hole (amazing!). We decided to enjoy the ship instead of Cozumel and are glad we did. We didn't book another cruise when we left, but that is due to our family growing in the next year. We felt it best to wait and get our lives stabilized again before jumping back onto the Oasis, but we will 100% do it again. This was our 5th cruise and by far our favorite to date!

Oasis didn't fail to amaze!

Cabin Review

Grand Suite - 1 Bedroom
Cabin GS 9254
Great cabin! Great location! We used the stairs to get down to anything below our deck and the elevators to return to our deck. The space in the cabin was enough for a family of four. The bathroom had ample space. The TV was large enough and we enjoyed the views from our balcony.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Irie Blue Hole
We departed from Falmouth to Ocho Rios in a private car for our family and our driver/guide from Marvyn's Paradise Tours. Courtney, our guide, gave us lots of history of Jamaica, stopped and purchased our first taste of Jamaican beer, and told us lots of great stories along the way. He made sure we were prepared for the chaos of the roads that we would enter (sometimes it felt like the road wasn't even there) and of the traffic. He kept us laughing and made us into honorary Jamaican's before the day was over. We loved Courtney!
We went to the Blue Hole and it was breathtaking. We did lots of jumps from up high into the waters below. We climbed on rocks and had a wonderful time.

  • Tubing
We jumped back into the car and headed to the lower part of the river where we enjoyed a guided tour on a tube flowing down the river. It was a nice contrast to the high energy and thrill seeking of the first adventure. After that, we went to Scotchies for lunch. It was amazing (my husband is attempting to make some jerk chicken today on a fire pit in the back yard!). We will definitely return to Jamaica and request Courtney and Marvyn's again!

  • Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Such an easy port to get to and the process was simple when we arrived to drop off our bags and park the car.

  • Ziplining
Best 90 second excursion ever. You get to do a test run on a smaller zipline before heading to the top of the mountain. The views were amazing and the race down to the far end was breathtaking. I am afraid of heights, but loved every second of this excursion!
