We booked an aft cabin with an extended balcony, 7444, and our room seemed comparable to aft cabins on the Freedom and the Conquest. The cruise was really nice overall, just what we needed to relax and unwind in the Caribbean. We had a few complaints, but nothing major: 1. There was an odd, sewage-like odor in the back of the ship. It would come and go, and occasionally you would smell it near the front of the ship as well. It pretty much went away by the end of the cruise. 2. The Lido Deck food was a bit hit and miss this time around. Some of the choices were quite good; others, not as much. One port day they closed the lines before 3:00 p.m., leaving only the Tandoor, the Deli, and the pizza bar open for later lunches. 3. The canopy for the Lido Deck pool means there is a large area between the upper deck railings and the view of the pool area. You are pretty much confined to viewing the big screen for poolside events, such as the Hairy Chest contest, etc. Other than those few complaints, the cruise was great. Kadek did a great job keeping our room up, and the ship was very clean overall. The food in the main dining room was very good, and the Pinnacle steak house was excellent. The Mongolian BBQ line moved quickly compared to the Conquest in 2013 (running six pans at a time seems to help!). The excursions we took were fun and worth the money. All in all, the service and quality were worth the money we spent.

Cabin Review

Cabin 7444
I really like the aft cabins. The balconies are large enough for a few people to hang out on, and the views are usually really nice. Our room was nicely sized and we had plenty of storage space. Carnival should get on board with charging ports for phones and devices, and the rooms could certainly use more electrical outlets. Otherwise, I would book this room again.
