The New Zealand ports are beautiful and interesting. We had heard that Princess lines was a "step up" from other mid-priced cruise lines, but we did not find that to be true.
Our cabin was right next to the storage closet for the art work, and every day when there was an art auction (mainly on At Sea days when it would have been nice to sleep a little later), the staff would move the art work onto rolling carts and roll them down the hall beginning at 7:45 AM. The entire corridor noticed the noise, but evidently the profits of art sales are more important than cruisers' comfort. A note abou this to Guest Services was unanswered.
The layout of the ship provides few common areas to sit near windows and watch the scenery. The promenade deck was often blocked so walkers couldn't walk all the way around.
The cabin was fine and as expected other than the previously mentioned issue.
