We chose this cruise for the ports of call and a chance to try out Celebrity. The ports of call were great, apart from Ravenna, it's miles from anywhere, but it's an opportunity for Celebrity to make quite a bit of money on coaching passengers into town. We normally sail with Royal Caribbean and we thought that this would be a step up as Celebrity boast 5 star luxury. It was the opposite. Royal, overall are a far better brand. The staff aboard The Constellation were not very friendly, it was as if they didn't want to be there. I have never seen bar staff so unfriendly as on this ship, apart from a couple in the Martini Bar. The menu in the main dining room was far below the standard of Royal, not enough choice or variety. There didn't seem to be very much happening aboard the ship especially on sea days when you would expect some more things to do. The entertainment was very good, especially Joe and Liv, By far the best entertainers on any of the ship that we have sailed on. Celebrity lacks the wow factor that we have enjoyed on all our other cruises. The ship does not have enough meeting places aboard ship, everyone seemed to gather at the Martini Bar where there was never enough staff. As for Chic nights, that is a joke. It's supposed to be a 5 star cruise line but it wants us to dress down, if you want to dress down then go to a holiday camp. I'm not going to dress down because others wouldn't be bothered. What made this cruise special were the ports of call and the fellow passengers that we met. We are going back to Royal Caribbean. Goodbye Celebrity.
Nice cabin with a sea view. Reggie, our attendant was great.
