We prefer a smaller cruise line like Holland America. This was our third cruise with HAL. We were delighted with the cruise and especially with the smooth transfer to the land part of the trip. All transfers were efficiently handled with assigned seating for the motor coach and train parts of the land trip. The cruise itself went to Ketchikan , Juneau, Skagway, and Glacier Bay. The ship picked up a park ranger and Native Alaskan to help make the experience of Glacier Bay all the better. Big points for that!

One highlight was the McKinley Express train to Denali. We spent two nights in Denali which we are recommending to everyone. A tour of Denali Park was included in the trip and was great. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and had a very good personality.

Overall food quality was good but many dishes needed a bit more seasoning. Bar poured generous drinks. Service was excellent. The ship itself was spotless.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin was comfortable with plenty of storage. Steward was excellent. Bathroom was a comfortable size, again with ample storage.
