I am a 35 yr old single woman and this was my 6th cruise (5th on Carnival) and I must say it was the best cruise ever!  Carnival Liberty is fantastic ship and had tons of activities.  I will try to be brief (but thorough) - bear with me.I arrived in Miami a day early and checked into the Days Inn-International.  It wasn't the WORST hotel i've stayed in but if you're looking for someplace cheap to lay your head for the night, it will do.  I did discover the hotel's restaurant tranformed into a GREAT salsa club on Friday night.  I danced the night away with a really cute guy!  FYI, if your are sailing from Miami it is totally worth it to spend a few extra bucks and stay on South Beach.  We took a taxi from the hotel ($35 each way) and hung out on Ocean Drive.  Wet Willies is a MUST!!Saturday (cruise day), we took the hotel's shuttle to the port - $6 per room = great deal.  We arrived at the port at 1:00pm.  There was a LLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG line!  Thankfully the line was moving fairly quickly.  It took about 45 minutes to make it onto the ship. After checking out our cabin, we headed to the Lido Deck for lunch.  Of all the Carnival ships I have been on, the Liberty is by far the best!  There were so many food choices I had a hard time deciding.  The Asian grill was good.  The buffet was good.  The burgers and hot dogs were good.  My only complaint would be the Fish and Chips (located on deck 10).  The fish was extremely greasy!  But the pesto and cajun sauces made up for it.We had dinner in the Silver Dining room every night (except Mother's Day) and the food was great.  Our waiters Hector and Kevin were excellent.  At dinner I met a little boy at the table next to us and he gave us hugs and kisses each night!  Please, please, please make reservations at Harry's Supper Club.  It was my gift to my grandmother on Mother's Day and let me tell you it was by far THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!  Well worth the $30. Ports of call:Day 1 was Half Moon Cay, Bahamas and it drizzled for most of the day.  I really didn't enjoy this island.  It is owned by the cruise line and only has one or two shops with pricey souvenirs.  I much prefer Nassau where you get the "true" island experience.  Also there was a long wait to board the tender to the island (about 1 hour) which took up a lot time as we were only at this port for 7 hours.Day 2 was at sea.  I got plenty of sun and enjoyed the activities going on around the ship.  I LOVE the outdoor movie screen.  I got to enjoy concerts during the day and good movies at night.  (House Bunny and Hancock).Day 3 was St. Thomas.  St. Thomas is one of my favorite islands!!  The shopping is outstanding, which is how I spent much of my day.  It was raining pretty steadily when we got off the ship, but the clouds departed and the weather turned out to be pretty good.  The downtown market has great knock-off bags.  I also got a great deal on jewelry.Day 4 was Puerto Rico.  IT RAINED ALL DAY!  This is the first cruise I have been where it rained at each port of call!  Not Carnival's fault though.  We decided to take a tour of the city for $10 (much more expensive if you book it through Carnival).  The tour guide (Hector ) was great.  The tour ended with a mad dash (literally) to the Coach Factory Outlet.  We had exactly 35 minutes to shop and make it back to the ship.  For "experienced shoppers" that was plenty of time.  Great deals!!!Day 5 was Turks & Caicos.  Once again, the day started with rain.  At this point I said screw it and tried to make the best of my time off the ship.  We took a taxi "downtown" to get souvenirs ($5 each way).  They were really inexpensive!  I loaded up on magnets, key chains and island jewelry spending a total of $15!  We then made our way back and had lunch at Margaritaville.  MARGARITAVILLE IS A MUST!!!  The drinks are watered down but the entertainment makes up for it.  We watched the "Strongest Man" contest which was hilarious!!  7 guys had to do push ups with a rather large woman laying on their back.  OMG what a sight!!  The beach area was nice and I got great pictures!Day 6 at sea.  Day 7 back at home.  Disembarkation was a breeze.  I was off the ship in about 20 minutes.  I chose to carry my own bags off which is truely the way to go. My only complaint about this cruise would be the disco and karaoke.  I look forward to karaoke each year and actively participate, however, this cruise get a big "thumbs down".  It was totally lame and the staff did not really seem into it.  Also, the disco gets another big "thumbs down".  The music sucked and the D.J. had a horrible attitude if you asked him to place "up to date" music.  All in all Carnival Liberty was a fantastic trip and I can't wait to cruise again!
