My wife and I just got back from one of the most...interesting trips we've had yet. This was our 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean, first on Grandeur. Itinerary had us on a 5-night going to Bermuda, but Hurricanes Matthew and Nichole had other ideas....

Long review but hopefully helpful …

First, I'll talk a little about the storm and how wonderful the crew were...then I'll go through the normal “review” points.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

3rd deck, midship, starboard side (3574). About 7 rooms from the elevators/rear stairs. Very conventient location. Big window, fairly spacious (had the bed and a two-seater couch). No mini-fridge. Storage was pretty good...we had to get a little creative, but it works. Bathrooms are small but they made great use of space and the showers felt larger than I remember from other “small” ships we've taken...they still had shower curtains vice the sliders, but even still...I had no issue with the shower size. My suitcase fit under the bed but my wife's had to go in the closet. Room had about 16 hangers in the closet). Toilets worked fine throughout the ship. Room steward Rolly was great though he was that elf you hear about (you never see him, but you come back and your bathroom is clean and bed is made...).

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Very easy port to embark/debark from.
