We chose to add two days to the beginning of our cruise to explore Amsterdam on our own. We were pleased that we were met at the airport and taken to our hotel as an extension to our cruise. The Double Tree by Hilton next to Central Station in Amsterdam was a great hotel with courteous, helpful staff. Scenic personnel met us at the designated time and efficiently took us to our ship. The Jasper is a relatively new ship built in 2015 and was excellent. We could not say enough good things about the crew, service and dining experience. We had choices most days on what excursions we wanted to take. We were very happy with our shore guides and the sights we saw. We were given enough free time to shop if we wanted to. Our program director, Patrick, was very organized and explained everything each day in our port talks. Our butler, Harry, was on call whenever we needed him and Putu our cabin attendant couldn't have been more efficient. We truly thank them. The Restaurant manager, Viktor, was fun and efficient. We really liked that it was an all inclusive trip with no hidden fees. Our disembarkation went fairly smoothly as we arrived at the airport in Basel in plenty of time.
