We really wanted to see some new ports of call. Croatia, Montenegro and Malta seemed to fit. The ports lived up to the expectations. Weather was beautiful as were the sights and the people. Some cities in Croatia are not right by the ports, but shuttle buses or ferries ran regularly and were never full so this was not a problem. Embarkation and disembarkation went quickly and smoothly. The service was wonderful and all crew members were friendly. Dining in the ocean view can get busy during days at sea. Tables fill up quickly leaving some to circle the dining room. Food in Ocean View is good for a buffet. We found the food lacking in the main dining room...fish was mushy and fishy tasting, veal salty and steaks tough. Not as good as on previous celebrity cruises. We were in cabin 7084. View to the left is partially blocked. There was also a slight sewage smell in the bathroom. One morning as we walked down the hallway this smell was very strong. Not a way to start the day, but the smell was gone by afternoon. We had sailed on the Constellation several years ago when she was in better shape. Ship is showing its age in all common rooms. Pool in the solarium had paint chipping and chairs need new cushions. The entertainment was good most nights. Our friends loved the trivia games. Great cruise, but might pick a different ship until they update her.
Cabin is small, but the view was beautiful . As I stated the view to the left is blocked by the cabin balcony two doors down. Furniture is worn, but serviceable . There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom that permeated into the room and one morning the sewage smell was very strong on half of deck seven. Bed is huge and comfortable. Easy access to Celebrity theater from here.
We wandered venice on our own.
