We appreciate the suites are more expensive but in our view worth every penny.
Port & Shore Excursion Reviews
Athens (Piraeus)Very disappointing, we decided to take a Hop on Hop off bus for a tour of the city and although we did go to the Acropolis we did not climb the hill and were soon back on the bus to tour the rest of the sights. Athens in our opinion is dirty with graffiti everywhere, some areas we passed were like slums and very intimidating. We stayed on the bus to the port and were glad to be back on board.View All 1,261 Athens (Piraeus) Cruise Port Reviews

CorfuDon't take the Hop on Hop off bus it's a con. You see very little of what we imagined to be a beautiful island. I suggest you take a ships excursion or research a private tour where you will no doubt get more from Corfu than we did.View All 678 Corfu Cruise Port Reviews

DubrovnikWe used one of the guys arranging taxi's who appear at every port to transport us to town and spent a while in the Old Town followed by a reasonable priced drink at a café which took Euros. We did need some local currency but most places take Euros. A lovely port and very friendly people. It feels very safe and was also very clean.View All 1,214 Dubrovnik Cruise Port Reviews

Katakolon (Olympia)We arranged a private tour with Mr Theodoros Mamousis who was excellent. He picked the 6 of us up exactly on time in his Mercedes Vito which was very clean and tidy. We arranged first to go to Olympia where Mr Theo showed us what to do where to go Etc. and arranged to come back and meet us 2 hours later. The cost was 12 Euros each (half price over 65). We went from there to an excellent winery run by Mr Theo's family at a cost of 9 Euros each followed by a lovely beach near the port where we spent an hour having a drink in a bar/restaurant before returning to the ship. Mr Theo will allow you to select where and when you want to go to any attractions and is really accommodating. His knowledge of the area and it's history is extensive and he is obviously very proud of his roots. As we left him at the port he was even kind enough to supply as with 2 bottles of his home made olive oil. Our 6 hour excursion cost 25 Euros each. A real bargain.View All 13,326 Katakolon (Olympia) Cruise Port Reviews

MykonosTendered to the port from the ship which I understand is rare for NCL. Some lovely but very narrow lanes with the usual tourist shops. nice views, nice restaurants and bars. All in all a really beautiful island.View All 1,082 Mykonos Cruise Port Reviews

Oia Wine TastingGreat place. We went twice and just went to Fira the first time where we walked around the town, had a drink and went back to the ship after a few hours. We used the cable car both times and did not queue at all.View All 97 Oia Wine Tasting Reviews
On the second trip we went on the ships excursion from the larger port by tender and then by coach to a nice wine tasting venue with unbelievable views followed by a tour of the island and a walk around Oia, the coach returned us to Fira where we took the cable car and again no waiting.
SplitVery pretty, clean and easy to walk around and get to from the port. We just did a little shopping had a couple of drinks and returned to the ship, I'm sure this is a lot more to see but we were quite happy just spending a few hours near the port.View All 404 Split Cruise Port Reviews

VeniceVenice is beautiful but very busy. We took the water taxi from the port to St Marks Square the taxi was only a short walk from the ship. This cost 15 Euro's each return and took about 20 minutes. St Mark's was really busy and we made the mistake of sitting down for a coffee at 12 Euros each and were told there was an additional charge of 6 Euros each because they had music, we left there and later found a lovely place (can't remember the name) on the Grand Canal where it was considerably cheaper. We walked the lanes for a while and took a 35 minute Gondola ride at 80 Euros but this was split between the 6 of us so very good value.View All 1,462 Venice Cruise Port Reviews
