Amsterdam-spent two days pre cruise. Viking did a wonderful job with all transports, Lufthansa air and van to and from hotel and ship.We stayed at the Radisson Blu set up by Viking with full buffet breakfast. We used UBER to get round Amsterdam which worked out great. Recommendations 1. Hungry Birds City tour- walking 4 hour afternoon tasting of small restaurants and cheese shops- Pre book on line, Yum. 2.Rijksmuseum- neat displays of heritage, don't rent the audio gadget, it is not worth the cost.3. Evening canal ride through the red light district-Amsterdam Tours with a glass of wine, very nice- tables hold 4.

Negatives- Not fond of the crazy bicycle population, it detracts from the experience.

The longship Mani was lovely and clean, actually did not cruise the river much during daylight except the 4 hours through the middle Rhine one afternoon. River sailing was mostly at night and had 15 locks to go through which were quite loud if you were sleeping.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom

Cabin E

standard cabin below deck was fine, with adequate plugs, supplied drinking water and refrig. we heard complaints that due to rafting( tying together boats during docking) cabins with balconies has little privacy.

Port Reviews

Rudesheim

Lovely evening stroll with a park and a cute area to shop and try wine. Nice evening activity before dinner.
