Sail Date: Aug 2016
Cabin: Large Interior Spa Stateroom

Cruise chosen as this is a new ship. We'd already been on Ovation of the Sea and wonted to sail on Carnival Vista this year. So just fitted in with our plans.

Traveling from the UK and embarking in Amsterdam was really easy - short flight, good train transport from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station, 5 minutes taxi ride to ship beats a long drive down to Southampton! Would do this again.

Beautiful ship smaller than many but on the whole well designed and decorated

Cabin Review

Large Interior Spa Stateroom

Cabin IQ

Category says large interior and I've had some small ones with HAL so it was n't too cramped. But there is no where to sit apart from the bed and one storage stool. They also give you a yoga mat which just fits between the bed and dressing table/desk; I could just about manage my back stretching exercises.

Bear in mind too that there is only one flat surface - the desk/dressing table - so if you have a room service tray, which must measure nearly 2' by 3', you need to be prepared!

TV does not have any British programmes, only BBC USA, which is poor; I'm sure would n't have taken long to retune. On the tech side you have access to an app which is handy for bill checking but wo'n't let you prebook MDR times.

Location is great. Just a few strides to the deck above the Lido pool. Will be a greater asset in warmer waters when the dome cover is retracted.

Can't really see why called a 'spa' cabin. Unless we missed something no effort was made to promote this at all. Maybe rename 'Lido Access Cabin?' A couple of free entries to the hydropool or similar would have been nice and justified the extra £p for the cabin.

Just one other point on location. If you need to get to the aft adults only pool you can do so by going outside, up and down decks, but it is easier and tempting to walk through Lido Market . . . in wet swim wear?
