Cabin: The Haven Spa Suite with Balcony

This was our 4th Norwegian cruise and 2nd time on the Getaway. This is a beautiful ship. We had a great time and all of the crew went above and beyond our expectations. We stayed in a Haven Spa Balcony cabin on deck 14. This gave us access to all of the Haven amenities as well as the thermal spa. The Haven sun deck area is the best. It is never crowded. The only negatives I can say about the cruise pertain to two of the specialty dining restaurants. Teppanyaki put so much garlic and butter in every item, that you couldn't taste anything but the garlic and butter. The service at Le Bistro was very slow and their menu is pretty limited. On the other hand - Cagney's was delicious as always. We have 2 more Norwegian cruises booked. A 2-week eastern/western caribbean in March and Hawaii next November. We have cruised other lines, but keep coming back to Norwegian.

Port Reviews

Miami

Embarkation in Miami went very smoothly. Parking at the port is very easy and close to the ship.

Costa Maya

We just jumped off the ship and did a little shopping and walked around. We got back on board and enjoyed the empty ship.
