We chose this cruise because of the departure port, the number of sea days and the destination. We booked cabin C752 an aft corner cabin overlooking the wake. We have enjoyed these cabins before and make every effort to obtain one. We were not disappointed and we were fortunate to have an outstanding steward.

Although the Star is one of the older ships in the fleet we were impressed with the high level of maintenance and the overall appearance of the ship. We really appreciated the enclosed pool area.

The most important observation is the performance of the ships’ company. In all our sailings we have never had such a personable and visible Captain. Captain Tuvo’s unexpected appearances throughout the ship and his approach-ability kept everyone on their toes. I believe his willingness to assist the crew in small tasks endeared him to his staff and made for an unusually happy crew. Their happiness made for an exceptional experience for the passengers. He is the “Consummate Host” and we nominated him as such. We think he should be the “poster boy” for Princess. Read more
