We chose the cruise because my husband has always wanted to visit Normandy. The cruise gave us that opportunity along with visits to Paris and other places in France. The cruise was excellent. The tours were good and the tour guides were knowledgeable of the area we were touring. We enjoyed the scenery along the river and watching the process of the ship passing through the Locks. The food and amenities on the ship were also excellent. The Viking representatives took very good care of all of the passengers on the ship. They even made sure that my food allergy was noted when we had a dinner off the ship. We were always greeted upon our return to the ship after a tour with appropriate drinks and other treats. We had never been on any kind of cruise before and we really enjoyed it. We plan to take another Viking cruise in the future.
