Ship: Very clean throughout, impressive art displays throughout the ship.Embarkation very quick at the time we boarded. Disembarkation very well organised and directed.
Food was reasonable given the number of people on board whichever venue you decided to eat in. Complementary continental breakfast in the cabin was good and always on time.
The bar and waitress service was always good and cheery.
We had an inside cabin, 11052. Plenty of room, a large, comfortable bed with choice of hard, medium or soft pillows. Plenty of hot water, cabin steward did an excellent job keeping the cabin tidy.
The evening entertainment was in the main good, restricted to 45 minutes which was about the right length of time given it is mainly visual. The theater is very impressive and comfortable. It was difficult to get a sunbed when the ship was docked for a full morning, worth paying a few Euros to go on deck 18.
Shore excursion: My wife having a leg injury at the time we just got off the ship and went on local tour buses. Would not recommend going to Naples.
We are English but other nationalities we spent time with spoke English as well as their own native language, and we met some nice people, so no problem. We are an energetic elderly couple, not too many childred early October, I imagine it would be quite hectic in the summer months.
We were charged 9 Euros a day service charge.
Cabin Review
Excellent with good bed, plenty of room. Plenty of hanginf and drawer space.
Port & Shore Excursion Reviews
We went on a tour bus around the city, which was hop on and hop off. We did not get off but it was a worthwhile tour.
We caught a city tour bus outside the port and enjoyed the experience.
The tendering by MSC was very good.
We did not get off at Palma having been their before, but it's a very nice city and recommended.
A lovely city but we did not have time to visit, although we have been there before.
We just walked around the city from the port which was very pleasurable.
We did not get off at Naples having visited before and were not very impressed.
