  • Cabin Type: Deluxe Veranda 2A

Have just arrived back from the 18 night Tahitian cruise from Hawaii across to Sydney and have to give the greatest praise for the staff of this wonderful ship.

In perspective we are a couple in our mid 50's recently retired and love mixing with new people ..and certainly we were able to meet lots new friends onboard.

We had a balcony cabin mid ship (7157) and it was very comfortable and very well serviced by the stateroom attendants though I don't recall our having to call and request any assistance on any issue. The bed was very comfortable for us and lots of room to store clothes Etc.

There was a wonderful " vibe" on this ship and almost without exception the crew whether they be officers, food staff , or the general cleaners were always quick with a " hello" or " good morning" ...so I see this as a reflection of a well managed and run ship.

We only availed ourselves to the Dining room three times but on each occasion we enjoyed the company at our shared table, and the food was in the main good.

We bought a dining package and by far Murano was a stand out for quality of service and food. We found Tuscan Grill disappointing and the Silk Harvest ok. Murano set an incredibly high standard that the other two restaurants simply don't come anywhere near matching.

We also bought a Chiefs table evening with caviar theme and it was one of the highlights of cruise ...just sensational food, service.

We tended to utilise the Sunset Bar late afternoons and Jamie and Nyoman were absolutely amazingly custodians of this bar ..always greeting up by name with a friendly smile ...and they always remembered our choice of drinks ...tremendous ambassadors for Celebrity.

We enjoyed the entertainment on board and specifically the roving musicians which played our sort of music ..well done.

This is our scone Celebrity cruise and I certainly recommend them to people in their 50's plus.

If I have any gripes it would only relate to the cost of the spa treatments and the fact Celebrity kept changing the price the drinks packages ( downwards) which if we hadn't been aware of, and changed our order accordingly pre cruise , would have soured our booking experience.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2A
Cabin 2A 7157

Found this cabin very handy to all parts of the ship.

It is near elevators and stairs we never once heard any noise from them.
