We choose this cruise because we went on the Rhine cruise earlier this summer and enjoyed it very much. It was the first cruise we had ever experienced. Then when we returned from the first cruise, Viking sent an email offering a very nice price on what appeared to be a number of "last minute" bookings. One of them was this Paris to Normandy cruise. We had never been to Paris and looked forward to seeing the D-Day memorial in Normandy. We were not disappointed. The cruise again exceeded our expectations and was thoroughly enjoyable. Once again the accommodations, food, excursions, service, and crew (especially our cruise director- Lionel) were outstanding.

There was so much to see and do in Paris, which thanks to Viking planning, was extraordinary. The guided tours were very well done and the guides quite pleasant and knowledgeable.

We found equally enjoyable the other smaller town and villages that we stopped at along the Seine on the way to Normandy. Just a great overall experience.

Cabin Review

Cabin A-Veranda

The cabin was small but very well laid out, clean, and comfortable. Viking has been able to maximize the usability of the space in order to make this a most enjoyable experience. Actually there is so much to see and do while on board that very little time was actually spent in the cabin, even while underway.
