We've never been to Russia. This was the perfect way to get introduced to Russian culture and people.

Our trip started at Moscow and ended at St. Petersburg. That was a lucky choice since that is probably better than starting going the reverse direction. For us, the airport at Moscow was 2 hours from where the ship is docked. Whereas the St. Petersburg airport is only about 1/2 hour away from the ship. I would rather deal with that long trip to the airport at the start of the trip than on the last day. We did get to ship late and the dining room was held open for us that needed a meal prior to turning in. Very considerate.

Everything about this trip was first class - the accomodations, food, service, tours, entertainment, etc. Love the lectures about Russian history and language. Extremely helpful and friendly crew and staff. Really can't say enough about the staff and crew we had on our trip. Very friendly, considerate, and helpful, but not annoylingly so. They really did bend over backwards to accomodate our requests. Read more
