We really enjoy cruising from the UK also this being our 12 RCCI cruise we were happy to choose them again. We had been on Anthem last year and Ovation in April both being excellent cruises and the non observance of the adults only policy in the solarium on the Ovation by the crew being our only grumble. How very different this cruise was! the quality of the food in the dining room coupled with poor service was disappointing. The entertainment was poor in the theatre, on the last night the magician was introduced as straight from Las Vegas I joked with a fellow passenger that I thought he had probably been employed there as a car park attendant. The ships company at best were amateur I don't include the lady singer and the comedian from this critique both excellent For a ship that was 16 years old we found it very clean and presentable also it's fair to mention that the food and service in the Windjammer and the Promenade Café was quite excellent. We left with the distinct impression that RCCI are putting all their resources into their new ships and if that's the case how about an Oasis or Quantum class ship being based in Southampton. Lastly I feel I must mention the Diamond Lounge. As Diamond Crown & Anchor members we thought the loyalty lounge was the best one we had ever experienced. So you see RCCI the critique is not all negative
