We choose the 24 day Mediterranean Magic that was just magic. The 2 cruises combined covered everything we planned to see. Weather was perfect late August early September. We choose a Verandah suite which was very clean and plenty big enough for a couple. Our cabin was on level 8 midship which we found very handy to everything. We had no problem with noise as I heard some complaints from guests on the lower levels. The crew were all fantastic, very friendly and eager to help. Many knew us by name by the end of the cruise which was lovely and remembered our drinks order for Happy Hour in the Crowsnest! The dining staff and buffet staff were always friendly and helpful, ready to oblige at any time. The entertainment was on the whole very good, although I suggest they do away with the British comedian who was woeful! All the ports of call were great, a little disappointed when the 3 Turkey ports were cancelled however I preferred guest safety overall. A good call by Holland America to bypass until the unrest settles. Two of the replacement ports of call though left a little to be desired. Albania was a waste of time and Crete we found to be the worst of the Greek Islands. Our 2nd time sailing with Holland America and loved it!
