Booked this cruise based upon our experience on our 2014 Budapest to Amsterdam- Danube River Cruise which was fantastic by any definition as well! The Baltic Cruise went far beyond our expectations from embarkation to disembarkation. The Viking Star is an unbelievable ship! The amenities and service far exceeded that of the larger cruise ships we have travelled on including food, service, entertainment, ports of call, and staffing. Probably what was most unbelievable was our Explorer Suite! Words cannot give it proper justification. Being located on the upper-level-bow location, you have nearly 180 degree view from your large private deck, not to mention having a separate living room and bedroom. Unbelievable! The overall trip was fantastic and we cannot say enough other than that of our planning another similar trip. We are hooked on small-ship causing and Viking Cruises is at the top of our list without exception! It should also be mentioned that of meeting so many new friends. In fact, new friends that we met on the Danube cruise also joined us on the Baltic Cruise. To my knowledge, Viking Cruises was recently honored as the top cruise line. Obviously, they earned this award based upon their outstanding customer service which we have witnessed on two occasions!
