The cruise on the Danube was probably the best vacation i have had.The reason i picked a river cruise was from watching them advertised on PBS tv and always thinking i would like that.I then seen an ad for free airfare to and from Europe in the spring/summer of 2016 and contacted my travel agent and a week later i had it booked.

All airport transfers were included in the deal as well as a guided tour every day and from the moment we got on the ship until we left a week later everything on board was first class. The cabin was compact but the room had everything we needed and all the staff and crew were very friendly and helpful at all time. The food was excellent with lots of choices at every meal and wine and beer were included with lunch and dinner.

The entertainment was good but could have been better though the guy who played the piano was very good. The cruise director, captain and head chef were there to look after your every need and always making sure you were completely satisfied at all time.

Cesky Krumlov

we had about a 2 hr drive from Linz to Cesky Krumlov and it was worth the drive to see this beautiful quaint town in the Czech republic. A bus took us to the top of the hill where there was lovely gardens and a breathtaking view of the town from above with the river running through it.We then walked down into the town with it's cobbled stone streets and lovely shops.Very nice day and local guide was excellent.
