My husband surprised me with this cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. A Rhine River/Danube River cruise was at the top of my wish list, but I never dreamed that this would become a reality. The whole experience was magical for me. I didn't want to sleep. I didn't want to miss out on what surprise might be around the next bend in the river. I wanted to soak in every moment, often sitting on our veranda watching the ripples on the river in the moonlight, as our ship silently made its way to the next port-of-call.

The shore excursions were well organized with friendly guides who gave us complete history lessons about the town we were visiting and its surrounds. Every guide spoke beautiful English with a sense of humor, even though English was not their first language.

All staff were courteous and friendly and it wasn't too long before they were calling us by name. We were always greeted with a smile. The food and service was 5 star.

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Our cabin, though small by comparison to a regular hotel room, was beautifully appointed. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. There was plenty of hanging space and draw space for our clothes and extras. We rarely used the small refrigerator but very pleased it was provided when we did need to keep something cold. Fresh water was left every day by our lovely cabin attendant.

The bathroom sparkled and we had plenty of room for toiletries, with lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner replenished when necessary. One unique feature was the heated floor in the bathroom. So nice when stepping into the shower and then out of it.

The veranda became my special place and I found myself enjoying the view at all hours of the day and night.
