The combination of total relaxation with the possibility to visit beautiful and historic towns and locations seemed to tick all the boxes, and we were not disappointed. The food, drinks, service and accommodation were all excellent, and the ship is modern and perfect for watching the world go by. The bike ride from Durnstein to Melk was a highlight, and there were many possibilities to exercise ashore, either on a walking tour or going for a run or a bike ride. The one wheelchair passenger on board seemed to be very happy with the help he received. The excursions were interesting and varied with local guides who were both affable and well informed. The experience started right from being met at Budapest and ended with our being dropped off at departures at Munich airport. We had not expected much from our debarcation day, but instead we had a riveting tour of Nuremburg and a wealth of informative detail on the bus trip from there to Munich. Our visit to Regensburg and the Spanish Riding School in Vienna were equally unforgettable.

In short, this cruise delivered everything it promised, maybe more.
