Sail Date: Jul 2016

New ship with excellent amenities. Multiple options for dining and the food was very good and varied. Shore excursions were excellent with very knowledgeable guides. Room cleaned twice a day with very friendly and helpful staff. At 920 passengers, this ship was very comfortable and well suited to a relaxed cruise with mature passengers (very few kids).

Only problem the entire trip was embarkation. We arrived at the time scheduled for the upper tier cabins so we were among the first to arrive. Nobody showed us where to leave our luggage and nobody offered to help us with it, including up the narrow gangplank all the way to our cabin. Room key did not work and we had to wait 30 mins to get someone to make a new key. After that poor first impression, the rest of the two weeks was superb.

If you take this cruise, do not miss the tour of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.

Cabin Review

Cabin Explorer Suite 2

Outstanding. Wrap around Veranda at stern with three rooms: Living, Bedroom and Bathroom. Could have easily lived in the suite the entire trip. Veranda had a dinner table with 4 chairs and a 2 person lounge along with 2 one person lounges. We were the envy of the ship.
