This was my first experience on any type of cruise ship. I wanted to see the cities along the Danube this cruise included on the route. Viking created a wonderful experience from the time spent in Prague until it ended in Budapest! There were Viking staff along every leg of this trip to help make the experience very memorable. From the time we got off the plane in Prague til we got to security at the Budapest airport the entire staff on this ship was fabulous, welcoming and knowledgable about the ship and areas we were visiting! The wait staff was very attentive to the people at their tables especially when one sat in the same waiters area for the whole trip. Housekeeping paid attention to every little detail.

The tours of the cities we stopped in were great and very well organized. The guides were locals, knew their hometowns very well and could impart a lot of information, useful and fun facts about each of the towns and cities we stopped in along the route.

The customer service on the Egil and the company of Viking were unparalleled!

Cabin Review

Cabin French Balcony

The cabin was very comfortable and laid out very well. Did not spend much time in the cabin.

Port Reviews

Nuremberg

Nuremberg was very interesting. The tour of the city was a very good overview of the history of Nuremberg

Regensburg

This tour was high on my list of the cities we visited. The guide was fabulous!! He had great stories to tell about the city.

Durnstein (Krems)

The ship had moved to Krems while we were at the monastery. There was no tour of Krems. It was at the eastern edge of the Wachau Valley which we cruised through during the day. Very beautiful.
